Following ongoing strategic review, in January 2009, The Real Good Food Company plc consolidated two of its principal businesses of the group, Renshaw and Napier Brown Foods, into one business unit, renamed as renshawnapier. This consolidation provides more efficiency and added flexibility to deliver and meet both current and new customers needs.
Both the Renshaw and Scotts businesses, which carry the Royal Warrant, were established more than 100 years ago and were brought together during the 1990s under the ownership of Hero AG. Employing 120 people at its 150,000 sq.ft. factory in Liverpool and a further 55 people at its 55,000 sq.ft. factory in Carluke in Scotland.
Napier Brown & Company Limited was incorporated in 1982 providing a comprehensive service to customers throughout the industrial, retail and food service sectors of the food industry and supplies a range of sugars in packets, bulk bags and containers. Operates out of an administration centre and manufacturing and distribution facilities in Normanton and a trading and sales office in Thornbury.
